Service work is different from shop purchases — you can't box up a repaired pipe and post it back. So here is, plainly, what can be returned or refunded and how.
Unused parts and units
If we supplied a part or appliance that was never installed — for example, you changed your mind about a heater model before fitting day — return it unopened within fourteen days for a full refund of the part price. Opened packaging that is complete and undamaged is accepted within the same period with a 10% restocking deduction. Special-order items sourced specifically for your job are refundable only if the supplier accepts the return from us.
If a repair doesn't hold
Our first remedy is always the free warranty return visit: within six months of the invoice, a failure of our workmanship is corrected at no charge. If the same fault recurs after two warranty visits and we cannot put it right, we refund the labour portion of that repair in full. That is our internal standard, not a legal minimum.
Deposits on multi-day projects
Deposits on rewiring and re-piping projects are refundable in full if you cancel before materials are ordered. After materials are ordered, we refund the deposit less the cost of non-returnable materials already committed, with supplier documentation shown to you.
How refunds are paid
Refunds go back by the method you paid — bank transfer refunds within five working days, card refunds within the timeframe set by the card network. We do not issue refunds in cash for card payments.
What is not refundable
- Labour for completed work that functioned as quoted (for example, a drain cleared successfully that re-clogs months later with new debris).
- Diagnosis visits outside our published coverage areas where a travel fee was agreed in advance.
- Damage caused by other contractors altering our work.
