Smart Lighting Upgrades

Good lighting is the cheapest renovation there is. A few well-placed downlights and a dimmer can change how a room feels more than new furniture — and it's done in a day.

Planned by room, not by guesswork

We don't just punch holes where the old lights were. Tell us how you use each room — reading, cooking, movie nights — and we'll sketch a layout with the right colour temperature and switching zones before any drilling starts.

  • LED downlight layouts, recessed and surface-mounted
  • Ceiling fan installation, including high-ceiling mounts
  • Dimmers, two-way switching and lighting zones
  • App and voice-controlled smart switches (no rewiring needed in most homes)
  • Outdoor, balcony and security lighting
  • Old fluorescent-to-LED conversions that cut the power bill

Smart switches vs smart bulbs

Smart bulbs are fine for a lamp or two, but they stop working the moment someone flips the wall switch off. For whole rooms, a smart wall switch is the better upgrade: the existing bulbs stay, the wall switch keeps working normally, and the app or voice control comes on top. Most Malaysian wiring supports neutral-required smart switches; where it doesn't, we fit no-neutral models instead — we check before ordering anything.

What an upgrade day looks like

A typical living-and-dining lighting refresh — eight downlights, one fan point, dimmer and two smart switches — takes one crew a single working day, including cutting, wiring, patching and cleanup. We bring drop cloths and a vacuum; you bring opinions on warm white versus cool white.
